Happy Thanksgiving!
I hope that everyone had a nice turkey day with their families and loved ones, I sure did. All my brothers and sisters were at my parents house with their kids, loved ones, and a few extras, too.
Alexis and Kylie love to bring along their friends, Erick and Alex, brothers who live next door. Erick and Alex are first generation American Mexicans. Their parents are from Mexico and speak hardly any English. When we first met Erick, he hardly spoke English, either. He learned from watching TV and talking to us! Erick is the same age as Kylie, they go to school together and are good friends. Alex is Erick's little brother, he's quiet, but he understands English pretty well, too. This was Erick and Alex's first experience with Thanksgiving (it's an American Holiday, not a Mexican Holiday, and they didn't come along before). I gotta get more pics from other people because I don't have any good ones of them. Just a few of the back of their little heads.

Joe had a lot of fun jumping into most of my shots, but I think I had more fun cropping them for display. See how much Joe loves Jacob?

Mindi and her girls looked real cute in their pink outfits. Joe even had on a nice T shirt with a picture of his recently deceased Grandma holding a little baby Joe. It's amazing how fast my nieces are growing up and I think I'd better put more effort into taking their pictures and spending time with them or they will become teenagers and start thinking I am not cool anymore.

I am also amazed at how big Dylan and Faith are getting. I don't see them very often and it always strikes me how much Dylan looks like Dan and Dave did. I remember David looking a lot like that...
The food was great (of course! I made it!) and the company was too. It's going to be even bigger next year, with the addition of Dave and Jessa's son. If Phil and I get going on it we could add a new one, too. (Don't hold your breath. We like to talk about it, but we aren't trying to conceive at this time). At any rate it seems if we get any bigger we are going to have to start renting out School Gyms again soon. . .
I had Phil bring along our Rock Band game and we played with the family through out the day. Even mom sat down with a guitar and learned to play a little. There are pics of that, and I will get them. Dad sat down and played the drums for a bit, and the guitar, too. Steph was the bravest of all people and grabbed the Mic. She rocked it almost all day, too. I was real proud of her, it takes most people about an hour to warm up to the mic, and even longer to try songs they don't know.
All in all it was a great day. Hope your's rocked as well.

I, your mother, want you to know I really appreciated everything you did for Thanksgiving! In true frugal fashion I saved all the placecards you so carefully made and Mindi laminated - at least I think I got them all. In true Jennie fashion I probably missed a few...It was one of the best family gatherings we have had...and we forgot to talk about Christmas...gift exchange? no gift exchange? Silly Santa stuff? Whaddaya think? Oh, and, curtains, anyone?
Ya, we are going to have to work that out...
Sorry, I've been distracted... ADD anyone?
